David J. Freire enters his first season as assistant coach. He joins the Alliance University women’s basketball program after coaching at Kearny Christian Academy (KCA) for five seasons; from 2012-2017. During his time at KCA, he served three seasons as assistant coach to the boy’s and girl’s varsity basketball programs and two seasons as boy’s varsity basketball head coach.

Coach Freire received his bachelor's degree in Psychology and Counseling from Pillar College in 2016. He is married to his wife Edith and expecting their first child.
