Fernando Colon


Spent the last 2 years as the head coach at Bloomfield College. In his 2 seasons there, he led the team to 2 straight CACC final appearances. The program also won 2 straight north division titles going undefeated in division play both seasons. 
 
Prior to Bloomfield College, Colon spent 12 seasons as the head girls volleyball coach at Hudson Catholic Regional HS in Jersey City NJ. Colon built the girls' volleyball program from the ground up in 2008 when the school went co-ed; the regional high school had previously served as an all-boys school. Colon was named the 2012 and 2015 HCIAL Coach of the Year, voted on by league coaches. In 2016, NJ.COM recognized Fernando as the HCIAL Coach of the Year. A well decorated coach and respected in the volleyball community, Colon led Hudson Catholic to the 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019 County Championship titles and the 2016 & 2017 Non-Public B Sectional State titles.

Colon currently resides in Union NJ with his beautiful wife Tina along with their two wonderful children, daughter Genesis and son Nijel.
