Alliance University

Jersey City, NJ -- The Alliance University men's track & field program placed 6th out of 12 teams with a score of 46 points at the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Championships. Both Kosiani Dunkley and Christopher Adekoya were two of three athletes who at the championships who managed to win two events. 

Kosiani Dunkley came in first in the 800m and the 1,500m events. Dunkley set a new meet record in the 800m event with a time of 1:53.67 which is also a new Alliance University school record. Dunkley completed his double with a first place finish in the 1500m event with a time of 3:59.70, which is only the second time that a runner finished below the four minute mark. With his two first-place finish Dunkley was named to the CACC All-Conference First-Team.

Christopher Adekoya claimed the 100m crown with a time of 10.70, which marked a new school record. He then completed his double with a time of 21.91 in the 200m event to claim the title. Both his first-place finish earned him CACC All-Conference First-Team status as well. 

Alliance rounded up their day with a third place finish in the 4x400m relay. Kevin Saunders, Christopher Adekoya, Kosiani Dunkley, and Noble Parker set a new school record with a time of 3:22.07.
