Jersey City, NJ -- Freshmen Christopher Adekoya, Noble Parker and sophomore Kosiani Dunkley led the effort for the Alliance University track & field men's team at the 2023 Danny Curran Invitational with a second place finish each. Adekoya continued his stellar form during his rookie campaign with a 2nd place finish in the 100m dash with a time of 10.92s which marks a new school record, meets the qualifying standard for the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Track & Field Championship later this month and currently ranks him 4th in the CACC this season. Adekoya finished up his day with a 5th place finish in the 200m event with a time of 22.18s. He had previously met the CACC qualifying standard for the 200m event and set a new school record with a time of 21.89s at the 27th Annual Monmouth University Track & Field Season Opener.
Freshman Noble Parker set a new school record in the 400m event with a time of 51.76s which breaks the previous record set by Josiah Cumberbatch of 52.09s. Parker finished 18th of 72 athletes in the 400m dash and met the qualifying standard for the CACC Championships as well and his time of 51.76s currently ranks 8th in the conference.
Sophomore Kosiani Dunkley improved his previous shared school record in the 800m event with a time of 1:54.47 and is now the lone record holder in the event. His time was rewarded with a 2nd place finish and is currently the best time in the 800m event in the CACC.
