Kevin Saunders broke the school record over the 400m that was set just last week by freshman
Noble Parker (51.76s). Saunders' time of 51.36s saw him finish 5th at the Oscar Moore Invitational hosted by Rowan University on Saturday, April 8th. Saunders also met the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) championship qualifying standard and will compete in the 400m at the championship later this season.
Saunders was closely followed by freshman
Steven Elcock who finished 6th overall with a time of 51.96s but missed the CACC qualifying standard by 0.07s.
Kosiani Dunkley finished third overall in the 800m event with a time of 1:56.90, while
Noble Parker,
Steven Elcock,
Kevin Saunders, and
Kosiani Dunkley set a new school record in the 4x400m with a new time of 3:33.23 beating the record set in 2016 by Sam Weller, Ian Mirtile, Danson Kirwa, and Mateusz Gacik by over a second.
