Box Score Jersey City, NJ - Alliance University used two second half goals to complete the comeback win 2-1. Felician was on the board within the first 8-minutes on a header from Katinka Ummels. AU came out of halftime with a changed strategy thanks to Head Coach Emma Webb. Late in the second half, Alliance's Tess Pearce shot was blocked by keeper Brieanna Martins, but hit the hands of a Golden Falcons player inside the goal box which resulted in a penalty kick. Sophomore, Lara Noe, took the PK and found the back of the net to tie it up, 1-1, with 16-minutes left to play.
Five minutes and 40 seconds later freshman Alexis Kufta provided a cross that found senior Samara Phillips-Hines to give AU a 2-1. They would hold onto that lead for their first conference win of the early season. AU also tied up the all-time series to 12-12-1.
The women will host Dominican on Tuesday September 27 starting at 1:00pm.
