Jersey City, NJ -- The Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) announced on Tuesday that women's track & field athlete Sage Sumpter was named the CACC Field Athlete & Rookie of the Week. Sumpter had a stellar weekend at the Sam Howell Invitational setting two new school records and winning the shot put event respectively. 

This marks the first conference recognition for Sumpter during her young collegiate career. Sumpter has already qualified for the CACC Championship later on this Spring and his currently only two feet away in the shot put event from qualifying for the NCAA Division II Championships as well.
