11 Men's Soccer Players Named to CACC All-Academic Team

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (December 7, 2022) -- Seventy-five (75) student-athletes on Wednesday were named to the 2022 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Men's Soccer All-Academic Team, as announced by Commissioner Dan Mara. All 13 CACC schools that compete in the sport were represented on the All-Academic Team.

Alliance University led the way with 11 honorees on the list, and comes on the heels of the squad qualifying for the CACC Championship Final this fall. Georgian Court University was next with nine honorees to make the team.

Marco Roessle was one of three players in the conference who posted a perfect 4.0 cumulative GPA. Lucas Fiuza and Moritz Albrecht garnered the CACC academic recognition for third time in their collegiate career, while Dan Ingoldsby and Manuel Ramos made their second appearance. Alliance added six first-time recipients with Nico Kaczmarczyk, Noah Brill, Miguel Andrade, Marco Dasso, Oliver Karlin, and Magnus Mesters

To be eligible for CACC All-Academic status, a student-athlete must: a) Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 at the end of immediate preceding term (may include summer for fall sport participants); b) Minimum of two semesters enrolled as full-time student at member institution; c) Student-athlete must be second year student-athlete at member institution.
