Jersey City, NJ - AU could not recover from a 17-6 deficit in the first quarter and fall short of completing the comeback losing 66-60 as they hosted University of Bridgeport . Alliance shot 16% in the first quarter while UB shot 54%, allowing the Purple Knights to open up with an 11 point lead. Raquel Crooke-Losada (Boadilla del Monte, Spain) lead a comeback in the fourth quarter, scoring 11 of her 15 points while shooting 4-5 from the field overall and 3-4 from the 3-point line. With 5:15 left in the final quarter, Alliance went on a 16-3 run. Alliance outscored UB 17-0 in the fourth quarter on points off turnovers. They were down 60-57 with 1:25 left on the clock. Two missed layups on the next AU possession forced them to have to foul Bridgeport. Bridgeport shot 71% from the charity stripe in the fourth quarter to secure the win. 

Carly Bolivar (Elmont, NY) fouled out and finished with 17 points to lead the team. Raquel had a double double pulling down 10 rebounds. The women will host Mercy College on January 2 starting at 6:30pm.
