Jersey City, NJ - Alliance women's basketball team used a 22-10 points off turnover advantage to defeat Bloomfield College in their first CACC contest. AU used an 8-2 run coming out of halftime in the first three minutes to force BC to play catch up the rest of the way. AU had a 13-9 advantage in the third quarter. The fourth quarter was when Alliance's star,
Carly Bolivar (Elmont, NY) took over the game to secure the win. In the fourth quarter alone, she had nine points, one rebound, one assist and one steal. She finished the game with 21 points, five steals, four rebounds and four assists.
Nicole Blanch (Sarasota, FL) and
Ashlyn Mesidor (Columbus, GA) also added double digit scores for Alliance with 12 and 10 respectively. Ashlyn got a double double pulling down 13 rebounds for the women. AU will travel to Caldwell University on Saturday for a 1:00pm start time. The women are 3-29 all time against CU.
