Jersey City, NJ - AU men's soccer finish out an amazing run by losing to Post University in the CACC Championship match 3-1. This was the first loss for the team since October 12 vs CSI. They were on an incredible six game unbeaten streak which included beating the #3 seed Bridgeport and #2 Holy Family in the CACC Tournament. In the championship game the men went down 1-0 after the first half, even though they had opportunities to score. Au took six shots in the first half non of which challenged the Post keeper. Post game plan from the start was to counter attack Alliance after almost every possession. AU's defense was definitely up to the task by preventing PU from being successful with this plan. Alliance scored in the 87th minutes with a get setup by
Miguel Andrade (Lisboa, Portugal) who brought a pass back to his left foot from
Javier Plaza (Villaviciosa de Odon, Spain) to score his third goal of the season. It was Javier's team leading 14th assist on the year. Alliance closes out a wonderful season 6-8-6 overall and 6-3-3 in CACC play.
