Box Score Jerey City, NJ -  Women's soccer scores an early goal in the third minute and holds on with a dominant performance to beat Bloomfield college 1–0. This was a much needed three points, in the standings, for the women's soccer team. The goal was scored by senior Samara Phillips-Hines (London, England) off of a header about 20 yards out which was assisted by freshman Alexis Kufta (West Bloomfield, MI). Freshman goalie Celine Grothe (Luebeck, Germany) had six saves to preserve her second shutout of her early career. The victory keeps AU in the playoff hunt, although they do need to win out and get some help. Making the postseason would be great experience for this young group.

Women's soccer will host Wilmington Saturday October 22 to kick off three home games for Alliance's home coming. The start time is scheduled for 1:00pm. AU will look to break a six game losing streak to the Wildcats.
