Caldwell, NJ -- The Nyack College women's volleyball won the first set but saw themselves losing the following three to be upended by the Caldwell University Cougars in a road conference matchup on Saturday.
Caldwell jumped to an early 3-8 lead in the first set but the Warriors found themselves on a 13-5 run to take the lead 16-13. Nyack would defend their lead until the end to take set one with a score of 25-23. In the second set, the Warriors saw themselves taking the lead early, but in the course of the set, a tight affair developed which saw both teams tied at 22. The cougars decided the last three points in their favor to tie the game up with a 25-22 set.
The Warriors tried hard to take the next set and both teams battled back and forth. With the game tied at 26, the Cougars got over the line first to win set three 26-28. Caldwell would seal the victory in the fourth set when they took the lead early and never looked back to win the final set with 21-25.
Nyack was led by freshman Natalie Pieper with 11 kills and British Dawson with a new CACC single-game record of 47 digs.
