Box Score Jersey City, NJ -- The Nyack College women's volleyball team was back for their third game in five days on Sunday afternoon when they hosted the Felician University Golden Falcons.
Both teams battled back and forth in the first set. With the score tied 9-9, the Golden Falcons pulled way for the first time by scoring four unanswered points, 9-13. The Warriors' efforts then received another blow, when Kirby Cuellar had to leave the game due to an injury halfway through the first set. Felician continued to keep the Warriors at bay and won the first set with a score of 19-25.
The Warriors had a hard time recovering from the early injury blow. The second set started as a tight affair, but the Golden Falcons slowly edged away and took set two with a score of 11-25. The Warriors threw everything they had left into the third set, but came up short, losing 17-25.
Nyack will get a break and will return on Thursday, February 4th, when they travel to Caldwell, NJ, to square off with the Caldwell University Cougars at 5:00 pm.
