Lakewood, NJ -- The Nyack College women's volleyball team was back in action on Friday afternoon when they traveled to Lakewood, NJ, for their second regular-season game against the Georgian Court University Lions. 

GCU got off to a better start jumping to an 18-3 lead in the first set. But the Warriors fought their way back coming within six points, before the Lions sealed the first set, 18-25. The Lions jumped to an early 8-2 lead again with the start of the second set, but the Warriors kept it close this time around coming within three 10-13. However, the Lions would edge out the Warriors in the second set as well with a score of 19-25. The third set was hard fought by both teams with the Lions holding a slight margin over the Warriors, 9-12. GCU would pull away with three consecutive points to go up by six, but the Warriors didn't give up and tied up the set at 18 points each. But the Lions would answer back with five unanswered points to jump to an 18-23 lead, which set them up to win set three and the game with a score of 22-25. 

Freshman Jada Hamilton led the Warriors with 11 kills on the day.

Nyack will be back on the court on Sunday afternoon when they host the Felician University Golden Falcons at 1pm.
