Box Score 2 Pomona, NY - The men's baseball team topped Caldwell University in a non-conference game this afternoon at Provident Bank Park by a score of 7 -1. The win brings Nyack's season record to 10-17 overall.
Nyack would get on the board in the bottom of the first when John Kennedy would single, steal 2nd and third before coming in on a Phil Erwin sac fly to give Nyack a 1-0 advantage.
The Warriors would put up a 6-spot in the 3rd inning capitalizing on several Cougar miscues and getting rbi knocks from Ryan Kahl, Jesse Barton and Carlos Pino Jr.
Connor Machardy, in a predetermined 3-inning outing picks up his first collegiate victory. Kyle Tedesco, Juan Rodriguez, Craig Jacobs, and Jack Hudak would combine to scatter 7 Cougar hits and tally 8 strikeouts in the win.
Kennedy would tally two hits and 3 stolen bases in the win.
The Warriors return to conference action tomorrow in a double header against Concordia College. First pitch is slated for 12 PM at Nyack HS.l
