ORANGEBURG, NY- The Warrior Softball team ended the day with a split to Chestnut Hill to start a game filled week. Not only did the Warriors split with the Griffins, they surpassed last year's wins record. 

How It Happened: 
Game 1 
Nyack fought back but in the end fell short to the Griffins in a 3-2 loss. Sophomore Manger had a great day on the mound allowing only three hits and one earned run. Manger has been a constant machine in the circle and has kept the Warriors within reach for countless games. The Nyack offense scattered five hits, including a solo homerun by Senior Richards, her fifth for the year. The Warriors were unable to string a few more hits together to get a couple more runs across. 

Game 2 
The Warriors set the tone early scoring three runs in the first inning. Nyack's offense combined for a total of eight hits. Freshman Sinanaj went 2 for 4 with a 2B. Freshman Triozzi had another day at the plate going 2 for 4 with an RBI. Freshman Morrison drove in two runs in the first inning to give Nyack the advantage for the game. Junior Kimberly Yano, threw a one hitter and only allowed five on base. Yano gained her third win of the season. 

Up Next: 
Nyack's road double header against Concordia has been cancelled due to rain, but on Wednesday, the Warriors will host Post at 3pm and 5 pm. Friday the Warriors are hosting USciences at 3pm and 5 pm.
