POMONA, NY - The Nyack College Baseball team celebrated it's Senior Day by clinching a doubleheader shutout over the visiting Cougars of Caldwell University on Tuesday; winning by final scores of 5-0 an 2-0 at Provident Bank Park.

Before the start of the game two, seniors Cole Tobin (Dover, NH), Tino Pardo (Wanaque, NJ)Nick McConnell (Edison, NJ)Hilario Vidaurre (Arlington, TX)Dylan Schantz (Phoenix, AZ)Michael Langston (Flagstaff, AZ), and Brent James (Seligman, AZ) were honored for their years of contribution to the Warrior Baseball Program.

How It Happened:
Game 1
Nyack would take a 1-0 lead in the 3rd inning when Yoni Rodriguez scored on a fielding error on a groundball off the bat of Michael Langston.  The score would remain 1-0 until the bottom of the 7th inning when Dylan Schantz would lead off the inning with a double into the right center gap.  Pardo and Langston would follow with back to back sac bunts scoring Schantz and giving Nyack a 2-0 lead. 

In the 8th, Nyack would add runs 3 and 4 when Schantz drove in 2 on 1-out single to make the score 4-0.  Nyack's 5th and final run would come on an infield single off the bat of Langston scoring a hustling Pardo from 2nd base.

Game 2
Cole Tobin would throw all 9 innings for Nyack in the final start of his collegiate career.  Tobin would allow just 3 hits against 9 strikeouts in the complete game shutout, which was Tobin's 8th career complete game.  Langston and Nick McConnell would each tally two hits in the win.

Nyack would jump out to a 1-0 lead in the 3rd inning of game 2 when Mike Langston delivered a 2-out triple off the left field wall, scoring Tino Pardo from 2nd base.  Nyack's 2nd run would come in the 7th inning when Dylan Schantz brought in Brent James with a 2-out single after James had tripled to left center to begin the inning.

Craig Jacobs would be stellar in the win, throwing all 9 innings scattering 5 hits and striking out 5.  Langston and James would each tally multi-hit efforts in the win.  Nyack's pitching staff would deliver back to back complete game shutouts for the first time in the last 7 seasons.
