After a scoreless 1st period, the Warriors were unable to produce a goal against Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference competitor Goldey-Beacom College, leading to a 1-0 loss in a competitive match Monday afternoon.

How It Happened:
Leading the Warriors on offense was sophomore Rebekah Lawler (Lacey, NJ) tallying 2 shots, both saved by the Goldey-Beacom keeper, recording Nyack's only 2 shots on goal for the match.  Juniors Katherine Oldfield (Bolton, England), Melanie Garcia (Queens, NY), and freshman Vanessa Séfriou (Québec, Canada) each took one shot for the night to complete the Warriors 5 total shots.  The Warrior defense did their part keeping GBC off the scoreboard until the second half despite the opponents 13 total shots.  Sophomore keeper Jordan Jansen (Lafayette, NJ) prevented 5 shots from scoring, limiting GBC to 1 goal for the match.

There was limited opportunity to score for each team in the first half as both defensive lines kept the goals well protected.  Nyack was only able to place 3 shots while GBC accrued 4 through the first 45 minutes of play.  Each keeper was able to save two shots from scoring, preventing either team from earning the first spot on the scoreboard as the clock ticked into expiration.

Goldey-Beacom attacked the 2nd half of play placing 9 shots in comparison to the Warriors 2.  Jansen prevented one shot from scoring in the 54th minute of play, but was unable to keep GBC off the scoreboard after a deflection in the 63rd minute.  Jansen would record two more saves before the period would expire and the Warriors were unable to score.  The match would conclude with a final score of Goldey-Beacom 1, Nyack 0.
