NYACK, NY - Today Warrior Softball improves their Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) record to 1-3 with their first win on the year to Chestnut Hill College, defeating them by a score of 4-2 in the opener. The Griffins would then rebound in the second game with a 12-4 victory in six innings to close the afternoon.

Game 1:
The team had great offense, with a total of seven hits to score 4 runs. Christine Kline, Tori Flemming, Meghan Richards, Tesla Murillo, Kelsey Lyons, Elaina Vasquez, and Anna Bailey Shuman all had singles. Ashley Manger pitched a full game on the mound, and was backed up by strong Warriors defense. The final score of game 1 was 4-2, with the Warriors coming out on top.
Game 2:
The Warriors lost 12-4. Kim Yano started the game off on the mound, but the Chestnut Hill Griffins jumped on top, scoring 6 runs in the first inning. Manger and Kline both put in innings, but with many errors on defense, the Warriors had a tough time bouncing back. The team did have a total of seven hits, with Richards going 2-3 with two doubles, and Lyons going 1-1 with a single and a walk. Kline, Bailey, Vasquez, and Flemming contributed with singles.
Up Next:
Nyack Softball takes the field again on Tuesday March 25th as host to Bloomfield College. The home opener doubleheader is scheduled for a 3&5pm start at the Orangeburg LL Field. See here for complete game schedule.
