Nyack Suffers 3-0 Setback at Dominican

ORANGEBURG, NY - Nyack College was dealt a 3-0 (25-15, 25-16, 25-20) defeat at Dominican College this evening in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) match-up at the Hennessy Center.

Freshman setter Olivia Denny (Las Vegas, NV) led all players with 12 digs to go with a team-high 14 assists, while freshman middle hitter Lindsay Miller (Chandler, AZ) recorded 5 kills.

Warrior teammate Alexus Winters (Yorba Linda, CA) contributed with 12 digs and Jillian Smith (Oceanside, CA) also chipped in with 5 digs. Both Winters and Smith would also record a service ace respectively.

The Warriors were hampered by twenty attack errors, while Dominican turned in a .295 mark with just fifteen errors in the match. McKenzie John led the DC Chargers with a game high 18 kills and Keely Fink tallied 11 Dominican digs in the winning effort.

Both Nyack and Dominican each recorded 3.0 blocks as a team but the Chargers would lead with digs by a margin of 56-44.

The Warriors will return back to the court, Friday October 17th to face Post University in a home contest set for 7PM.
