Volleyball Upended By Caldwell University, 3-0

NYACK, NY - The Nyack College volleyball team suffered a loss against the No. 3 North Division foe in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) match as the Warriors would fall, 3-0, to Caldwell University.

The Warriors got off to a slow start, dropping the first set 25-15. The Cougars led wire-to-wire in the opening frame.

In the second set, Nyack began to get some momentum, but Caldwell would get out to a 12-5 lead to get back into the set. Nyack fought back but the CU Cougars put them away, 25-10.

The third set was more of the same. Nyack trailed the beginning of the game as a 16-0 Cougar spurt brought the set within striking distance at 17-1. Unfortunately for the Warriors, Caldwell was able to continue stretching the deficit to take the game 25-8.

The Warriors will return back to the court, Saturday October 11th to face Queens in a home contest set for 1PM.
