Box Score 2 PHILADELPHIA, PA (September 28, 2013)
The Nyack College volleyball squad fell to a pair of decisions on the road Saturday in a tournament hosted by Philadelphia University.
Warriors lost to PhillyU 3-2 for the opener then dropped a 3-0 decision to Adelphi University in the nightcap.
Warrior volleyball is now 6-10 overall while PhillyU is 5-5 (and undefeated in CACC play) while Adelphi is 7-6.
During the openig game against PhillyU, Nyack lost the first two sets by scores of 10-25 and 15-25. They would come back winning sets three and four however a 13-15 fifth set sealed the Rams with the win.
Freshman Abbey Lawson (Mililani, HI) put down 14 kills for the Warriors and senior Brianna Kane (Bethany, CT) contributed with 31 assists respectively.
The second game of the tournament vs. Adelphi finished in three sets as final scores reflected 15-25, 16-25, and 8-25.
Tuesday October 1st Nyack takes the road one more time to play Caldwell at 7pm before back-to-back home games against Felician and Holy Family on Friday and Saturday.
