Box Score Pomona, NY - The men's baseball team defeated Caldwell College in the home finale at Provident Bank Park by a score of 7-2.
Nyack would add three runs in the bottom of the first inning on an rbi singles from Jan-Pierre Crespo and a two out rbi bunt single from TJ Briggs. Crespo would bring in Nyack's second run with a sac fly that scored Mike McConnell who had led off the inning with a single, giving Nyack a 4-1 advantage. The Warriors would score their 5th run when a Caldwell wild pitch scored Eric Roe in the bottom of the 6th.
TJ Briggs would bring in the Warriors 6th run with another 2-out single to make the score 6-2 after 7 innings. Nyack would add an insurance run in the 8th on a Caldwell wild pitch before going on to the 7-2 win.
TJ Briggs and Jan-Pierre Crespo would each collect 2 hits and 2 rbi, with Crespo also collecting 2 stolen bases. Brent James also tallied 2 hits in the win.
Matthias Westfall picks up the win for the Warriors, pitching 7 innings, allowing 2 earned, and striking out 2. Jon Colon would pitch the final two frames for Nyack, preserving the 7-2 win.
The Warriors wrap up their 2013 season with a single 9 inning game at United States Military Academy in West Point, New York. First pitch is set for 1 PM.
