Box Score NYACK, NY (October 30, 2013)
The Bloomfield Deacons women's volleyball team visited the Nyack Warriors on Wednesday evening for a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) match. Bloomfield would drop a 3-0 decision to Nyack as the Warriors earned their 10th srtaight home victory of the season.
Nyack won the opening set 25-14 and then followed with a 25-15 defeat in the second set. Bloomfield would score 19 points in the third set, but it would not be enough as the Lady Warriors concluded the shutout 25-22.
With the win for Nyack they improve to 14-3 in CACC play and now have won the past two matches against Bloomfield to close out the season series.
Sophomore, Samantha Garza recorded a tea-high 16 kills for the Warriors to lead the offense while freshman Abbey Lawson added 11 kills. Senior Brianna Kane recorded a team-high 29 assists and 15 digs respectively while graduate student Michelle Makela tallied a match-high of 23 digs on the defensive end.
Nyack (18-12, 14-3 CACC) will travel to Georgian Court University for their next match which is on Saturday afternoon at 12pm.
