Nyack put up a good fight but struggled to tie the match after Cyan Jean-Baptiste knocked in a goal to bring the Warriors within one point from the Cougars in the first half.
Caldwell struck first in the 2nd minute off free kick from a teammate which resulted in a shot from the right side. About eleven minutes later the Cougars netted another goal, a pass from the middle to allow for a shot from twelve yards out.
At the 30th minute Jean-Baptiste received a pass up the middle assisted by teammate Shaina Tomlin to fire in the first Warrior goal from 18 yards out. The score at half would reflect 1-2 in favor of Caldwell.
For the remainder of the match Caldwell led in total shots taken and in corner kick opportunities and the Warriors were unable to tie the game.
The loss drop Nyack 7-8-2 on the year and 6-3-2 in conference play.
Nyack soccer's last match of the regular season is a home contest on Friday November 1st at OMM Field in Orangeburg, NY against Concordia. This game is the rescheduling of the original September 12th match which got postpned due to inclement weather field conditions.
