Women's Soccer Tops Post University 4-0 In CACC Action

WATERBURY, CT (October 23, 2013)

In an away Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference match, the Nyack women's soccer team came out victorious against the Post Lady Egles as the final score reflected 4-0.

Nyack's new record improves to 6-7-2 overall and 5-2-2 in CACC play.

Nyack would score their first goal of the game in the 23rd minute form a cross pass inside the box from Julia Losert (Riedstadt Leeheim, Germany) that made it's way to senior Amanda Halter (Cheyenne, WY). The Warrior team added a second goal seven minutes later by way of Cyan Jean-Baptiste (Toronto, Canada) from the left side.

After 45 minutes of play the Lady Eagles would trail 2-0 and Warrior Losert already established 2 assists.

In the second half Nyack added two assurance goals in the 51st and 73rd minutes by Halter and Losert to secure the 4-0 victory.

Halter currently leads the Nyack team with 7 goals while Losert leads with 6 assists on the year.

Goalkeeper Madeline Barbarino  (Staten Island, NY) had 5 saves in the match and records her second shutout game on the year.

Warrior women's soccer   take the field again in a home contest on Saturday, October 26th as they host Wilmington University on Mosley Field at 12pm.
