The Nyack College women's volleyball team remain in a first-place tie in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference North Division standing with a 3-0 (16-25, 26-28, 16-25) conference victory over visiting Chestnut Hill College on Saturday afternoon at Bowman Gymnasium.
The victory allowed Nyack (14-11, 10-2 CACC) to earn a regular season sweep of the Lady Griffins which tally an 8-0 undefeated at home streak and an 8th consecutive winning streak.
Samantha Garza (North Branch, MI) topped Nyack with 12 kills and added 3 blocks. Defensive specialists Jennifer Schaller (Colorado Springs, CO) and Paige Burrell (Rippon, CA) put down 2 aces a piece while libero Michelle Makela (Cocoa, FL) led the Warrior defense with 20 digs.
Chestnut Hill earned advantages in digs 20-23 and aces 2-3.
Senior setter, Brianna Kane (Bethany, CT) had 29 assists, 14 digs, and guided the Warrior offense to a .258 attack percentage.
Women's volleyball play next on Wednesday October 23rd at home at 7pm against Concordia College.
