PHILADELPHIA, PA (October 19, 2013)

On Saturday afternoon the Nyack women's soccer team traveled to Chestnut Hill College for a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) match. The Griffins earned their fourth victory of the season after defeating the Warriors 2-0 during a contest on the road.

After a scoreless first half, Chestnut Hill would land their first goal of the afternoon during the 55th minute to take the 1-0 lead and then scored an assurance goal at the 76th minute to give the Chestnut Hill team a 2-0 victory.

Although Nyack outshot their opponents 20-9 and possessed more corner kick opportunities, Griffin goalkeeper Samantha Pauls went 8-8 with shots on goal and saves.

Warrior goalie Madeline Barbarino (Staten Island, NY) recorded 2 goals for the Lady Warriors in the losing effort.

Nyack (5-7-2, 4-2-2 CACC) play another road match on Wednesday October 23rd against Post University before returning home again a week from today, Saturday October 26th to see Wilmington University.
