Rian played soccer at Nyack from 1996-1999. At 6’1” tall he had great size for a goalie. His record as a starter was an impressive 36-28-4 while the team’s record during his four years there was 48-39-4. In 68 games played he had a 1.5 goals against average which ranks him 4th all time in Nyack history, 868 shots faced 2nd, 520 saves 2nd, and 15 shutouts which is also 2nd. He was named All CACC 1st team twice, NAIA All Region 2nd team twice, NSCAA All region, and CACC All-Tournament in 1999. In his senior year, Nyack was CACC Tournament Champions for the first time in school history as well as NAIA district runner ups, and they advanced to the NCCAA National Tournament finishing 3rd in the country.
