Justine played basketball at Nyack from 1997-2001. She played the center position and at 6’3” tall she often was able to dominate on the basketball court. She played in 125 games in her career. The team’s record during her 4 years was 59-66 including 2 winning seasons and 1 NCCAA East Region Championship in her senior year. Her best year statistically was her senior year when she averaged 14.6 ppg, 11.4 rpg, and 3.7 blocks/game. During that year she put up some impressive single game numbers including the only triple double in women’s basketball history and only the third in Nyack basketball history. She scored 10 points, pulled down 10 rebounds, and blocked 12 shots on Jan. 8th 2001 vs Baptist Bible College. Other impressive games that year were 11 pts, 13 reb, and 9 blocks vs. Bloomfield, 21 pts, 19 reb, 7 blocks vs Felician, 12 pts and 23 reb vs USP, 26 pts and 12 reb vs USP, and 26 pts, 10 reb vs Caldwell. She scored in double figures in 24 of 32 games that year and had 18 double doubles. She finished her career as the 7th all time leading scorer in women’s basketball history with 1094 points. She finished as the all time leading rebounder with 1227 rebounds and is currently the only wbb player with over 1,000 points and 1,000 rebounds in her career. She also finished her career as the all time leader in blocked shots with 255.
