David Julien graduated from Nyack College in 1998 with a degree in Psychology.  Better known as 'Jump-shot Julien' he left his mark on Nyack College Athletics Through his career on the basketball court. 
 
Dave played basketball in the 92-93 season, 93-94 season, and after taking a year off from school came back to play in the95-96 season, and the 96-97 season.  The teams record during Dave’s four years on the team was an impressive 73-63.  As a freshman and sophomore Dave was a starter and key contributor in both guard spots.  He averaged 7.9 ppg as a freshman and 10.7 ppg as a sophomore while helping lead the team to a 23-13 record. 
 
When Dave returned to the team as a junior for the 95-96 season is when his career really took off.   He returned and was moved primarily to the shooting guard position where he flourished.  He shared the team MVP award that year while averaging 16.9 ppg while helping to lead the team to a 19-14 record.  Dave was also named to the All-Metropolitan Team, NCCAA East Region First Team, and NCCAA All-American. 
 
Dave’s senior year saw him finish with his best numbers as a collegian.  Dave finished the year with 630 points for a 19.1 ppg average, 114 assists for a 3.5 apg average, 102 rebounds for a 3.1 rpg average, and 63 steal for a 1.9 spg average.  He shot 43% from the field and 40.9% from behind the arc.  That year Dave led the team to 15 victories, was named the team MVP, made the All-met team for the second straight year, was NCCAA All-region and All-American for the second straight year, and was named an honorable mention NAIA All-American.  
Dave currently ranks 3rd all time in scoring at Nyack with 1844 total points.  He has played in 136 games in his career and has a scoring average of 13.5ppg for his career.  He has over 400 assists, he holds the record for 3-point field goals made for his career with over 250, he is second all time in 3-pointers made in a season with 104, and his 3point % for his career is over 35%. 

His most memorable moment at Nyack as a player came in his last home game on senior night.  Nyack played a solid team in Holy Family University and beat them by over 40 points.  Dave led the way scoring and his teammates and the fans gave him an incredible farewell.
